Solutions to help you sleep better and live healthier

Do you feel tired during the day, even with a full night’s sleep? Do you usually wake up with a headache? Has your partner complained about your snoring – or even moved to a different bedroom?

You are not alone. There are millions of people like you who are suffering these symptoms without realizing that it is closely linked to their sleep (or lack thereof!). Obstructive sleep apnea is an insidious condition that can leave you feeling exhausted during the day, not because you are lazy or not getting enough hours in bed, but because your sleep quality is compromised.

At Power Sleep AZ, Dr. Bruce L Herr, Jr., has one goal: To help you on your journey to better health by offering an alternative to CPAP therapy or invasive surgical treatment options.

How We Can Help You Get Better Sleep and Better Health

Sleep Apnea Treatment

Our oral appliances are worn in the mouth while you sleep to treat obstructive sleep apnea. These medical devices are designed to keep your lower jaw and tongue from falling back and blocking or obstructing the throat and airway.

Dr. Herr custom-fits a made to order oral appliance to your mouth to maximize comfort and effectiveness. He will work with your physician and will provide updates as treatment progresses.

Stop Snoring

A lot of people snore from time to time. It can happen if you go to bed when you are extremely tired, you drink alcohol too close to bedtime, if you have a cold, or if you have a partial obstruction in your airway. Snoring now and then is generally not something to worry about, but if someone in your household has told you that you snore loudly, chronically, and continuously, that can indicate a sleep-related breathing disorder (like sleep apnea).

With a specialized oral appliance to gently reposition your lower jaw at night, Dr. Herr can help you breathe more easily and drastically reduce – or eliminate – snoring.

CPAP Alternative

Not every sleep apnea patient responds to the same type of treatment. Suppose you were prescribed Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy to treat your sleep apnea episodes, but you find yourself unable to use it for any reason consistently. In that case, our oral appliance therapy might be the answer.

We offer several types and brands of oral appliances which keeps the lower jaw and tongue from obstructing and closing the airway. The appliance will be made for you after a physical examination of your jaw joint, teeth, and throat.

with Snoring and Poor Sleep

Personalized Care Grounded in Experience

Dr. Herr’s journey into dental sleep medicine was sparked by realizing how crucial proper breathing during sleep is to oral and overall health. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Herr has refined a practice that addresses the mechanical aspects of sleep apnea and considers each patient’s holistic well-being. This deep understanding forms the foundation of Power Sleep AZ’s approach to treating sleep apnea without relying on CPAP machines or surgery.

A Different Approach Using Oral Appliance Therapy

CPAP is an incredibly effective treatment for sleep apnea. Unfortunately, many patients cannot tolerate it because of the noise or claustrophobia that comes with wearing a heavy mask covering your nose and mouth. Or maybe you do use CPAP but cannot travel with the machine. At Power Sleep AZ, we collaborate with your healthcare providers to make oral appliance therapy part of your treatment.

Convenient, User-Friendly, and Effective

Dr. Herr and the team at Power Sleep AZ take the time to get to know you and your specific needs. They will work with a certified sleep physician or your physician to properly address and treat your condition and will fabricate a medical appliance just for you, ensuring you can sleep soundly and breathe easily. All you need to do is wear it before when you sleep. It’s easy to clean and small enough to take wherever you go.

A Team That Cares

From your first visit, you will feel the difference and experience that Dr. Herr and the team at Power Sleep AZ have when providing your treatment and our genuine care for your health. We are here to answer your questions, guide you through the process, and provide you support. We work closely with your personal physician throughout the entire process.
